In 2021, GME Recycling Company signed a contract for the engineering, manufacturing and commissioning of an entire Battery Recycling Plant in Qatar. With this new project GME puts an important step ahead in the business consolidation within the MEA region.
The project, called C46-2021, consists of a full Gravity Battery Breaker plant with an annual capacity of 52,000 tons of Used Lead-Acid batteries (ULAB) scrap including also Smelting (Rotary Furnace) and Refining (Kettles with Ingots casting system) to be installed in DOHA, QATAR.
GME were responsible for the engineering, procurement and execution of the project, the GME team will be also responsible for the installation supervision forecasted for Q2 2022
